NTCL barge cancellation creates big costs for Nunavut

“On Oct. 19 NTCL told its clients in Cambridge Bay that the Nunakput, for which they’d been waiting since September, would not be able to deliver its cargo by barge to the community after all due to heavy ice conditions. Big orders of medical and cleaning supplies had to be moved by charter aircraft.”
